About Kathryn Cooper Jewellery
Kathryn Cooper Jewellery came into being to allow jewellery designer and maker Kathryn Cooper to share her love of gemstones and handcrafted, uniquely designed jewellery.
"I am a self-confessed sparkle addict and have been designing and making jewellery since 2004. I was taught the basics by a good friend and I used the skill as a therapy for post natal depression. It soon grew from that expensive hobby into a business when friends and family showed interest and I started selling my creations.
I am mostly self-taught, and I have had some training in silversmithing with the London Jewellery School in Hatton Garden.
I draw inspiration from many sources, including my extensive and exotic travels, the beautiful gemstones and vintage elements I discover, as well as the energy and personality of my clients.
The art of jewellery design is hard to define. I often working intuitively through fast sketches creating pieces around the gems and beads in my collection. This gives my work a focus on colour and shape and produces statement pieces in which the elements of the final piece are the stars of the show. I also love recycling old jewellery and making it into fun and new pieces."
You can have your very own piece of Kathryn Cooper Jewellery by shopping online, commissioning a bespoke piece, or at the occasional craft show or event.
